LockDon’t follow the footsteps of Dorin Lucian Dehelean, 37, an employee of UGA. Ajc.com reported that Dorin, who was an IT Security Employee for the university was arrested Monday Feb. 1st for Criminal Extortion. His extortion plot was to get money from students in
exchange for keeping their computer violations covered up. He accused students of violating copyright laws while using university computer, where he’d then as for money in exchange for a clean record.

Dehelean was employed in IT security support, according to police. He reportedly was in charge of monitoring illegal music downloads on university computers. Dehelean’s position paid nearly $50,000, according to state records

So again if you’re a security personnel, don’t try to extort money from your employees or you may be in the running for 2010 Darwin Awards.
