Sony Playstation Network – Update – Slim PS3 Ok

An update to the previous post:

Slim PS3’s are not affected by this outage thus making me believe it’s a local bug on PS3’s that are associated with Feb 28th 2010 (a Y2K like bug).
There is no update or ETA yet on the fix.

Major PS3 Outage – Sony Playstation 3 PSN Network Down

Today I tried to get onto Call of Duty Mordern Warfare 2 and was unable to log onto PSN…
I checked out engadget.com and sure enough they are reporting the following:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Patch 1.08 Released

Infinity Award has released patch 1.08 and it’s now circulating in the United States (I just Installed it for my PS3).
Here’s a list of fixes:
• Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
• Fix for “infinite care package” exploit.
• Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
