Charles “Mask” Lewis co-founder of TapouT dies in horrific car crash
As some of you know, I follow MMA quite closely, and have had the opportunity to meet Mask, Punkass and Skyskrape. Not only did we lose Mask yesterday but it seems like yesterday when we lost GrandMaster Helio Graice. Both Helio and Mask left their mark on the MMA community forever. Helio, with his introduction of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the masses by launching what is now the biggest MMA organization in the world, the UFC and Mask with his infectious comedic commentary, the true love for the sport and all the opportunities he’s opened to many unnamed fighters by giving them clothes to train in, money to keep training and TV time to give them a much needed public backing. Fighters who’ve grown because of the TapouT show would vouch for his professionalism behind his crazy painted face antics, just ask Deangelo Hall who has sparked a whole new carrier since his time on the show TapouT.
Back to the tragedy on hand. Mask was driving a Ferrari at high speeds next to a Porsche (it hasn’t been determined to be a race, yet) and lost control crashing the Ferrari into a tree splitting it in half. Here are some pictures from the LATimes:
The drunken driver in the Porsche, Jeffrey David Kirby, was apprehended later when he was found trying to ditch the car on a side street. He has booked on $2 Million Dollar Bail.
A woman passenger who accompanied mask was in critical condition.
This is just a reminder to everyone to drive safe, and live life.

That is freakin nuts man and what a major tragedy, they must have been going over a hundred to split a car in half…R.I.P. Mask…

What a tragedy. We can learn from this sudden death that we should always be careful no matter what we do. It could be so costly to to another.
