Flash not working with Firefox openSUSE 11.0
By ben.kevan on Jul 10, 2008 in openSUSE & SUSE
Have you install the Flash package from Adobe (10.0.0 Beta) and you lost your flash capabilities with firefox? No worries it is easily fixed. Just run: sudo ln -s /usr/lib/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser-plugins/libflashplayer.soClose firefox (if open) then re-open and you’re golden. hvac repair . Enjoy.. like always.. group counseling . toro . Hope someone finds it helpful

I installed the Linux version directly from Sun because I could not get the SUSE one to work, well to late now for me. Thanks for the update.
{Chuckle} Hey! That looks familiar!
For me, the first time I installed it when I was running Suse 11 RC1, I had to do the above step. After somehow borking my install and re-installing fresh, I downloaded the rpm package and had no issues. Go figure.
There’s a SUN beta 10 version? I installed the Adobe version, but am having problems with flash items flickering and some just not showing up. Tried that fix you posted but didn’t work for the Adobe version. Can you post the link to the SUN version?
This worked for me.
Thank you very much!
(OpenSUSE 11.1, KDE 4.1 FireFox 3.0.6)
it works!
thanks!
Lashely slapped the beast around last night for sure!
THANK YOU! I installed FF 3.5.2, and could not get flash to work. For me, I ended up removing the libflashplayer.so in the firefox 3.5.2 file location (/opt/firefox/plugins/libflashplayer.so), and then using your link above to this file. I restarted FF 3.5.2, and now everything works. THANKS AGAIN!
yes indeed, it very helpfull milion thanks
Thank you so much!
