Running on openSuse 11.2 (32bit). The only issue I'm having is no video. Flash won't install, no home page button. Performance is a bit slower than Firefox 3.5 but better than cxchromium. Chrome on Windows 7 under VirtualBox is faster than either FF3.5 or Chrome despite running on the VM (I don't understand that one either... go figure?!?).

I guess the problems reported yesterday has nothing to do with Chrome but if there is a problem then it is related to the Nvidia graphic driver.

On my system the 64bit version 4.0.203.2-1.x86_64.rpm is working for some minutes but then the whole system hangs and the only thing I can do is to press the reset button. I have installed SuSE 11.1 on a dual core AMD system. Graphic is NVidia 7050. Using kernel 2.6.31-9. On my old computer (also 64 bit but single core) the browser was running without any problems.

Installed on my quad-core 64-bit machine running openSuse 11.1 with the 2.6.27.7-9-default kernel with:

sudo rpm -Uvh http://www.benkevan.com/upload/software/openSUSE/google-chrome-unstable-4.0.203.2-1.x86_64.rpm

Installed without error. My flash is in /usr/lib/browser-plugins/ and I started Chrome with:

google-chrome --enable-plugins

Chrome starts without any errors in the console, but as I surf, it coughs up a few hairballs. Sample of loging into GMail below.

Thanks for doing this Ben! (when you go 64-bit, go quad-core! Cheaper than you think)

I plan no making another build shortly.. I am also working on getting everything into buildservice and automating the whole chromium process so you get daily / weekly from the snapshots or the major builds (I haven't thought it all out yet).

I hope to have it all done by next week.. but I just moved and I've been really really busy..

Thanks

G'day everyone!

I managed to get this RPM installed and running on Fedora 8! I had to install some Fedora 10 modules that might break some stuff on your machine so don't say I didn't warn you!

I downloaded and installed the following from a Fedora 10 archive:

libstdc++-4.3.2-7.i386.rpm
cairo-1.8.0-1.fc10.i386.rpm
pixman-0.12.0-2.fc10.i386.rpm
pango-1.22.3-1.fc10.i386.rpm

(libstdc++, Cairo and Pixman installed without complaint. I had to install the Pango module with --nodeps and --force. No side effects noticed yet.)

I haven't done much testing of Chrome yet so I don't know how stable it is.
