Installing KDE 4.3.5 on openSUSE 11.2

openSUSE Leaf LogoThe KDE Team release KDE 4.3.5 which is available for openSUSE in its ever functional and friendly build service.

This guide will help you install KDE 4.3.5 on openSUSE 11.2.

The first thing you must do is add the correct Stable KDE Repository:

su -c ‘zypper ar -f http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/STABLE:/Desktop/openSUSE_11.2/ openSUSE\ 11.2\ KDE4\ Stable\ Desktop

Note: -f is optional and is setting it to autorefresh

Upgrade to the packages on the new repository:

su -c ‘zypper dup -r openSUSE\ 11.2\ KDE4\ Stable\ Desktop’

This will upgrade all your KDE packages from KDE 4.3.X to KDE 4.3.5.

You can accomplish the above in the GUI using YaST.
