Useful openSUSE 11.0 Repositories for the best SUSE Experience
With openSUSE 11.0’s release coming around the corner, I felt it was about time that we talk about some of the most useful repositories to make the best out of your openSUSE experience (which will be great with or without the additions of the repos I have included).
Here is the wiki I have written to show some of the most useful repositories.
Some of the repos I touch on in the wiki are KDE4, KDE3, Education (for Bluefish mainly), Compiz Fusion and many more.

Packman miss there
Thank you Marek. I have added Packman (which to me is the most important repo to actually set up , along with the VideoLAN repo for the people that require MultiMedia Packages).

What I’m missing in SUSE is the absence of high perfomance lisp compilers like sbcl and cmucl. Another problem is that i’m always uncomfortable with package manager. The package managment imlicitly assumes that user has a fast internet. It is not possible to leave computer for the automatic update( install) because the automatic continuation of the abrupt downloads is not supported. That’s why I’d like to see some additional DVD with SUSE rpm, as well.
I am sharing /home between Ubuntu and openSUSE and it looks like it is was not a very good idea. I should have created a different user for openSUSE, as some customizations are not working properly.
Anyway, here are some questions:
1. How does KVM work under openSUSE? It is quite easy to use in under Ubuntu, where modules are loaded automatically.
2. Where is KINO application (for video editing and DV capture?).

Sorry, I’m fast to ask question, before I do any search. I can run kvm now.
As for kino I thought I found it under smilutils package, but that does not appear to be the case.
how i can play xvid/mp4 with totem?
i already installed the codecs from OpenSuse software; but totem says: Search for suitable codec?
Only i can listen but not see the video
